Classes

Adult BJJ

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is considered by many to be one of the most effective forms of self-defense on the planet. Our students are of all ages, shapes, sizes, and backgrounds. We train in Gi, no-Gi, and focus on real-world application of Jiu Jitsu techniques.

Kids BJJ

Our kids program is designed to teach real world self-defense, confidence, and respect in a fun and safe environment. Bullies tend to target victims that appear weak or timid. We help our kids find and/or nurture their inner confidence and in the event that our students have to protect themselves or somebody else, they will be well versed in one of the most effective martial art forms on the planet.

BJJ Fundamentals

The fundamentals classes focus on building a solid understanding of the logic behind techniques and positions as well as creating the necessary muscle memory for basic BJJ movements. “There are a finite number of basic techniques, but there are an infinite number of variations.” – Helio Gracie. A strong foundation in the basics is always key.

Women’s Self-Defense

The Women’s Only class creates a safe, comfortable and fun environment for participants to learn how to defend, survive & escape an attack. This course is designed for women, ages 12 and older. No experience is required, and all levels of fitness are welcome.

Our goal is to help women achieve a confident mindset, an understanding and strengthening of their situational awareness skillset, and then develop the technical skills to survive a violent encounter. Participants will learn how to defend, survive and escape attacks from standing, and from the ground. The course will also address what to do if the attack is perpetrated by a stranger or someone known to you.

Owner Alan Whited and instructor Yvette Demming have a combined 38 years of self-defense knowledge and experience. She has 25 years of law enforcement experience with extensive expertise in crimes perpetrated against persons.
